Range of Staff…
The Knightly Trust has a successful history of working with vulnerable children and children with special educational needs. We work in partnership with schools to help them find the teaching and support staff they need to succeed.
We provide teachers and support workers with the experience to work effectively in mainstream schools. Additionally, we recruit individuals with transferrable skills drawn from youth work, care work and beyond enabling us to provide you with a wider range of staff than any other agency.
We provide Teachers and Support Workers equipped with the skills and experience to cover roles in ASD schools, Pupil Referral Units and alternative provision.
Additionally we are able to provide effective staffing for any role within your school including:
- Teachers & Support Workers
- Subject co-ordinators & heads of units
- Education caseworkers & Behaviour specialists
- Speech and Language Therapists
- Community based / Outreach Learning Support & 1-to-1 tutors
Special schools
We understand that special schools need continuity of staffing. That’s why we work to create a pool of teachers and support workers who have the skills you need (and where appropriate, extra training or school induction) and make sure that they are available when you need them.
Through pre-booking and ring-fencing of staff The Knightly Trust has successfully managed to provide staff for schools which demand continuity as a pre-requisite of using an agency.
Training & Partnerships
We have developed a range of SEN focused workshops for our teachers and support workers which are delivered by our consultants.
We have developed training in partnership with nationally recognised organisations such as NAS and increased the number of people interested in working with special schools through our training workshops.
Most importantly we have worked in partnership with special schools to train staff to meet their particular requirements.
Knowledge & Experience
Our dedicated SEN consultants are the people who make all of this happen. We expect all of our SEN consultants to volunteer within a special school at least once a term to gain first-hand experience of the environment and be able to understand the kind or candidate required to work effectively for you.
Safeguarding & Quality
The Knightly Trust are fully committed to the DfE statutory guidance for schools ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (July 2015)
All of our workers undergo a comprehensive checking and vetting service to ensure safeguarding standards are met and to minimise risk to your pupils
